For 40 years the centre has been operating in Ivančice, offering leisure activities for children and adults. However, the leisure centre has not been able to provide enough quality space for the services offered for a long time. However, the planned building modifications will solve this problem.
Six classrooms will be built as part of the project. Four of them will be located inside the centre building and the other two will be located outside on the premises. Instead of the existing warehouse, two new research rooms with a focus on polytechnics will be built. New classrooms, including facilities for lecturers and sanitary facilities, will also be built in the attic of the building. The main subjects to be taught here will be natural sciences, mathematics, foreign languages and digital technology.
Visitors to the centre will also be able to use the new robotics classroom, where pupils will learn, among other things, how to program robots. On the other side of the building, there will be practical and theoretical physics lessons. In the outdoor areas of the complex, another classroom will be created, including a storage room for tools, as well as a purely outdoor science classroom.
The new educational rooms will also be modernly equipped, which will make the centre’s offer significantly more attractive. The high-quality facilities have the potential to attract more enthusiasts for engineering and science who will gain new knowledge.
These reconstructions will cost more than CZK 20 million. Nearly CZK 16.5 million will be allocated from the ITI tool for this project.
