Today, with technology playing a key role in all areas of life, supporting research and innovation is essential. Technology Park Brno is home to a number of international high-tech companies and successful start-ups and provides them with ideal conditions for development. The complex focuses on supporting research, development, robotics, smart solutions and the implementation of the latest technologies into practice. Thanks to its proximity to Brno University of Technology and its research centres, such as the Central European Institute of Technology CEITEC, Technology Park Brno enables deeper cooperation between researchers, students and individual companies. In more than 30 years of its existence, the Park has become a prestigious centre of technological and business development not only in the Czech Republic but also in Central Europe.
However, the capacity of the Technology Park Brno has reached its limit and therefore its expansion is planned with a new offer of even more modern facilities for companies and further support for innovative projects and cooperation between companies and scientific institutions. With the construction of the new Building D, the Technology Park will offer 5,436 m² of modern space for companies looking for an inspiring and collaborative environment in the metropolitan area.
Due to the high attractiveness of the location and the current offer, which mainly suits large international companies, it is important to complement this offer with premises that will be available also for small and medium-sized enterprises focusing on robotics, aerospace technology or IT. Today, these often leave the region due to a lack of available and suitable locations. Spaces for smaller companies will also ensure a balance between companies of different sizes and promote diversity in the innovation ecosystem. The four-storey Building D will also be equipped with modern, environmentally friendly technologies – for example, the use of solar energy, green roofs and efficient water management are envisaged.
Construction of Building D is expected to begin in autumn 2025 and the grand opening is scheduled for 2027.The total cost of the project will be approximately CZK 400 million, with CZK 200 million to be financed through the Integrated Territorial Investments instrument.
With the new Building D, Brno will confirm its role as a centre of technological innovation and enter a new era of business support and cooperation between science and industry.
