City of Brno will get involved in the international research project ESPON

The City of Brno will be part of the international research project ESPON which is coordinated by the Metropolitan City of Turin. The aim of a comparative analysis with the title: “The role and future perspectives of Cohesion Policy in the strategic planning of Metropolitan Areas and Cities” is to identify categories of urban and metropolitan bodies with respect to their interrelations with Cohesion Policy, with the aim to derive implementation roadmaps, benchmarking and evaluating results achieved.

The implementation period will last for 12 months. It is expected that the service will start in winter 2019. With this perspective, the first results should be in early 2020, whereas the final results should come by early 2021.
